Budget Decorating Ideas...

If you have less than $150 to decorate a room, then here are some great ideas to do just that!!!!

If you want to give a room a bright pop of colour and a fresh update try these gorgeous prints from Ikea. For less than $4 each plus frames from Target for $9 (30cm x 40cm) I now have beautiful prints for the bathroom which I am currently in the process of painting as you can see.

Make your own light fitting with some crystal beading trim from Spotlight and any old lamp shade. This cost me $15 all up and has added a soft romantic light to the bedroom.

Wooden words to inspire you can cost a fortune...but not at Spotlight...these were just $4 with a quick spray paint and some double sided tape I have words to inspire me in my kitchen "Create", "Imagine", "Dream" and 'Cherish"

This rather drab looking daybed made from an antique bedhead and a king-single bed was screaming out for a freshen up.

With 2 x $7 spray cans from Bunnngs I painted the bedhead.

I made cushions with $16 worth of fabric from Spotlight and $15 worth of crystal beading and some free discontinued sample book fabrics from 'Decorate My Room' and a $40 quilt and pillows.

The picture of a Botticelli hanging above the daybed needed a freshen up so I painted the pine frame with some left over interior paint.

I hope this has inspired you to think decorating is possible on a budget.
